If you are reading this book you are already a great leader. Maybe you purchased this book because you are a friend of ours, or maybe you bought the book because you have been following us on social media. Maybe you bought the book at one of our events, or maybe you just bought this book to see what all the hype is about. Maybe your boss, your superintendent, your principal, your congregation, or your spouse gave you this book. Even if you just picked up the book at the book store or you found it on a coffee table, you are a great leader. Why, because you made a choice to pick it up and read! I will thank you now for your open mind. We know that not everyone reading this will understand. Only a handful of leaders will understand the phenomenon that happens in the process of Curing the Culture, and that is because they have already been through it. I hope the rest of you will apply the curing the culture vision in your life.
Curing the Culture Leadership is a book of real ideas that can change the culture in your life. It is a life changing choice that will take you from a good person to a person that will be remembered, from an average leader to one that will leave a legacy, from a taker to a giver, it can change your life. In fact, it will change your life. Curing the Culture Leadership is about a better you!
“The Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many” –Mark 10:45
Curing the Culture is work. It takes great effort. It focuses on leadership through serving others. It is the truth, the good, the bad, the ugly, and the positive results that we have witnessed. These stories are from real people and are real events. Curing the Culture leadership can be implemented if you need and want to make real change. As one of my favorite pastors says, “Do something about it.” If you truly want change then do something about it. We want to share with others what we believe is the best way to build stronger families, stronger businesses, stronger faith-based organizations, and stronger schools. We want a stronger America and we believe that Curing the Culture in all areas of our lives will lead to more success than we could ever imagine. Together, let’s do something about it!
“The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others.”– Mahatma Gandhi
No one has ever expressed to me that they wish they were less successful. No one has ever told me that they wish to be less of a leader. They have never explained to me that they want to be less of a parent or want to be a lower achieving student. I constantly hear people saying I want to make more money, I want to be more successful, I want to be a better person, father, mother, leader, student, etc. Then do it! Serve others!
Servant leadership has changed my life in one simple way. I literally get more joy out of helping other people become successful than from gaining success myself. Ok, I will repeat that, I literally get more joy out of helping other people become successful than from gaining my own success. I have learned through experience that the more I help others be successful the more success I gain without even looking for it. The more I help others with servant leadership techniques, interviewing skills, speaking skills, and the curing the culture vision, the more opportunities that come my way. I can serve one student or help transform and entire community and through the act of service I am filled with joy. Through sharing these experiences and the experiences of many others, Curing the Culture wants to see you be successful and this book will do just that and hopefully will change your life in the process. Our hope is that you will be more successful than you could ever imagine…….Lead well! Serve all! The best is yet to come…Get Ready…
